SNMP from external
I have a Cisco router and an ASA. I'd like to get SNMP from the external. What do I need to accomplish that? I already have SNMP configured internally on those devices. Thanks

I am trying to sent SNMP traffic over the WAN side from my router and the ASA FW.

Nice article. But it does not show me how to configure my Cisco router and ASA to allow snmp traffic on the outside interface. Thx
What model Cisco router are you working with?
ASKER
Cisco 2921 and I also has the ASA 5505. They are doing site-to-site VPN.
Hi there
Use cacti for snmp.
Refer the article in which you could define an inbound access list for SNMP on thr WAN interface of router/firewall.
SNMP being UDP based would not need a reverse access list on a stateles device like the router.
