HP 4000 Series Printers
I have a few HP 4000 series printers that have mostly worked but have had issues with network cards. Recently, the network was upgraded from Win2003, Metaframe 4.5 to WIN2012 and Parallels (which is an RDP on steroids product). Mostly everything is working great but printing is some times slow on these printers and there are garbled characters on checks that get printed (they worked fine in Citrix) from Fund Ez software. Seems like we need a better printer driver or should just say uncle.

Take one printer, get HP to service it and replace the Network Card, then get the newest driver for it and install.
If that works, try the new driver on other printers, but you may wind up having to service the network cards,

I would get a quote before doing any service on those printers. The HP 4000 series is old and it would probably be more cost effective just to replace the printers.

Thanks for everyone's feed back. I was looking at the capabilities of the HP4000 and decided to make a deal with the client. We are going to purchase one ourselves and donate it the client and they will purchase another. The price of a new more capable printer is far less than the cost to support these printers both the clinet and us.
I have several Mac users who access windows RDP via Parallels and we've had lots of problems with printers as well as general performance issues.
