asked on

new subnet

Hi
I'm using subnet 10.0.0./24 for my production network and I'm going to move users and pbx to new subnet 10.0.1.0/24 and keep servers on the old one.
Do I have to create separate vlan for this network and then enable DHCP server on it ?
Do I have to configure all my switches to use one port for my new subnet ?
Will I need layer 3 swith or can I use inner vlan routing ?

You need a layer3 switch to have inter-Vlan communication.
Please check this thread to release IP for all the subnets you configured in your DHCP server

Do I have to create separate vlan for this network and then enable DHCP server on it ?
This would be ideal, have two separate vlans
Do I have to configure all my switches to use one port for my new subnet ?
Yes, each switch port will be assigned to a vlan and trunk ports between the switches
Will I need layer 3 swith or can I use inner vlan routing ?
Depending on the network size you can use either a layer 3 switch or your router to handle the traffic

What do you use for routing and switching?

Best practices recommend you to have a separate vlan for voice and Data.

Confirm the existing setup and subnet that you use.

Will I need layer 3 swith or can I use inner vlan routing ?

If you want the subnets to talk to each other, you would need intervlan routing.
Now what device you would use depends on your existing setup.
Post a basic topology diagram that would help me out here.
