Range Extenders Completed Project
Dear Hassan,
A couple of weeks ago Lana called me informing that the 3 range extenders that Billy has purchased were arrived. I went to the xxxxx xxxxx and I set them up. Due to the fact that the internet package in place is too small there was not enough bandwidth and I couldn't connect the range extenders. Considering that for months now, the range extenders connect sporadically, I called Comcast and troubles hooted the issue with them. We found out that the router had two issues: 1) the routers was wrongly provisioned, 2) the splitter was sending a very high frequency to the router creating signal instability. I requested to replace the router and a technician came out at no cost to solve the problem. After this problem was fixed I thought I was able to make the sensors working but again there was not enough bandwidth to push the wireless signal to the 4th floor. At that point I called Comcast and explain the problem. I asked an upgrade trial for 3 weeks from 50Mbps to 150Mbps so that I could test the equipment and see if increasing the bad with would have solved the problem. We received the 150Mbps and I was able to connect successfully all the sensors in each unit, even in unit 403 and 418 that we were never able to connect before. I have attached the screenshot of the portal which shows all the devices are connected). Another very important discovery I have made was when I logged into the router I found out that 7 people were connected to the office router with a total of 24 devices. This explain why the connection was sporadically and specifically after 5 - 6 pm when the tenants are back home from work. They start surfing and streaming from the Internet absorbing the majority of the bandwidth. This caused the sensor to get disconnected. I asked Lana to not give the password away to anyone again or this will compromise the sensors connectivity again.
In order to keep the sensors working xxxx xxxxxxx must upgrade the instant package up to 150Mbps.
Lana has been an amazing assistant in this projec
