AD seems to thwart autodiscover when switching form premises Exchange 2007 to Office365
I migrated these users to Office365 this weekend and all went well, but when I try to configure Outlook, it still insists on going to the local Exchange server (which is still working despite changes to the DNS records!). When I brought in my laptop and configured a profile for one of them on it (on their network but not in AD), it behaved as expected and connected to Office365. I would rather not do any un-reversable changes to the local Exchange Server until I am sure we can make everything work on Office365 internally with the computers still in the Domain.
Delete their current profile in Outlook and create a new one from scratch.

This was exactly what I needed. Really appreciate the quick response, too. FYI, the IM folks don't know this info, so this issue was escalated within their system and I still have not heard back after an hour.
