Cannot get access to the internet through the NetGear GS105v5 and my router D-link DIR-300

Hi dear experts,

GS105V5 unable to connect to router

1. I install Prosafe Plus Configuration Utility for GS105 ( not sure that for the GS105v5 because didn't find such )
2. Accept all Windows firewall notification that pumps up
3. Plug in on cable to my working router ( D-link DIR-300 ) and one to my PC ( win 8.1. )
4. Power Up NetGear GS 105 ( it was done at first place )
5. Also donwload GS105Ev2_V1.4.0.6 zip but don't know how to install it
6. Reboot my PC
7. Reboot my DIR-300
8. Yes, I forgot to mention that I start up ProSafe Plus Config Utility press refresh button and the app said to me "No switch exist in the local area network! "
and still can access internet only through DIR-300 wi-fi the Win gives me notification in "NetWorks " "Connections" - Unidentified network

What should I do in order to get access to the internet through the GS105v5 in my case ? All cables are working they short (1 meter ) . Connection to the internet provided by the DIR-300 through wi fi is working all the time. My operation system is Win 8.1. Should I install something ? Like the GS105Ev2_V1.4.0.6  or something ?
for me info please take a look on this pdf

The GS105 is an unmanaged switch.  I'm not sure why you're trying to run some kind of configuration utility with it.

If you RTM... just plug it into your router.  Plug your computer into the switch.  Done. This model has auto-MDIX for uplink ports, so you shouldn't need to do anything special.  No special cables.  No switches to configure.

When you try to run a configuration utility, it my be altering your network connection in order to connect to a pre-configured address/port on the target piece of equipment.

What is your reason for trying to configure a dumb Layer 2 switch?
