How to force WSUS to remove all superseded updates and ask the clients to install the lasted updates from WSUS server

Hi

One of the IT Company had implemented the Windows 2012 WSUS server and went into administration unfortunately 2 years before and I think the this server was not configured completely.
I randomly checked some of the PCs on the network (on the control panel-View installed updates) It says the updates were last installed on 2014 and cant see any latest updates installed recently. So definitely all the PCs in the network had not been updated with the Microsoft updates from last 2 years.

I would now like the WSUS to make it up and running and all the clients to get the updates from the WSUS server. I also noticed the GPO was not setup for the client to use the WSUS for updates and now  I have now setup this.

Please see the snapshot of the WSUS console, which says the current status; I am not sure how many updates have now superseded since the last 2 years. Is it a good idea to delete \clear all the updates on the WSUS server and ask the WSUS to pull new up to date updates  from Microsoft and then approve these fresh updates from WSUS to be installed on the workstations.

Please suggest as how I can sort this in orderly manner. Any tutorials and help would be grateful.Let me know if you need any further information.
Many thanks

Hi
The windows 2012 server has sufficient space where the WSUS database is hosted now. Previously we had windows 2003 WSUS server and this server was decommissioned from our network and then a IT company installed the Windows 2012 WSUS server freshly  for us and unfortunately they left the server with incomplete configuration.
Currently C drive has free space of : 7GB
E:(WSUS)- 182GB free

Yesterday night, I had ran the server clean-up wizard and thought by morning it must have completed , but it thrown this error
 (please see the attached)
 Options-Server Cleanup Wizard
Unused updates and update revisions
Unneeded update files
Expired updates
Superseded updates.

I restarted the server this morning and again ran the server clean-up wizard and from couple of hours it is on the 40% progress and there is no progress since I hour. So not sure what is happening on the back ground really. Will this be because the C drive has only 7GB free?
Is there anything I need to do for this wizard to work?

Thanks

I opened the SQL server management studio , on the WSUS server  , but not 100% sure if  WSUS is installed on SQL. Is there a way to find. I opened SQL server management studio and cant see WSUS db. I am sure VAMT is installed on this server and for this purpose SQL was installed.
Hope I am looking at the right place.
Please suggest.
Thanks

Please see the attached In the services , i couldn't see any SQL related with WSUS. They have  installed WSUS on the windows internal database.
I opened the SQL management express and  (for 2012) as instance name i found on google was \\.\pipe\MICROSOFT##WID\tsql\query and successfully connected to the internal database(Please see the snapshot), and i able to change the values of initial size for SUSDB and SUSDB_Log.
Do in need to change this values , if so how much.

Also will it be a good idea to uninstall the WSUS and fresh install the WSUS DB on the SQL server 2012, which is installed on this server\to work on this server
