Cannot move items to Outlook.com account OST in Outlook 2013

Hi
I have setup an my Outlook.com account in Outlook 2013.
I want to move emails from my old PST file to the Outlook.com account OST file, but get the following error message.
"Cannot move the items. The folders you are trying to change do not support this operation. Sorry, Exchange ActiveSync doesn't support what you're trying to do"

Is there any way around this?
How can it not support moving of items and folders on Outlook? It is all Microsoft products.

arre you trying to move folders ? or mail items ?
if folders, try once with only mail items (so create the folder in outlook.com, then try with a couple of mails, if that works select all and move)
You need to go PST to PST. An OST is a cache. You can convert OST to PST if you need to: http://www.nucleustechnologies.com/exchange-ost-recovery.html?gclid=CN3l7oaJls0CFQcMaQodwbQBCg

@ghinstek - I have tried to move the mail items and folders from my old PST in order to sync to the server. It gives me that message when even just trying to move one item into the inbox.

@LockDown32 - The OST is linked and syncs to the Outlook.com Account via Exchange Active Sync, so you can't just convert it to a PST. OST is local cache of what is on the server, bit you should be able to copy other mail items into your folders to sync to the server.
