video playback resume on webpages
If you are creating a webpage with a video on it, is there a way to create a situation whereby if you are watching a video and then close the browser window, the next time you open up the web browser, the video will resume at the point where you left it?
I know there are extensions you can add to your browser which do this, but what I was more thinking is whether there is a way to make this happen without the client having to install anything to make it happen.
I know youtube seems to be able to "remember" where you were, but I do not know how it achieves this.
If you could possibly fill me in on my ignorance here! Especially if such a thing cannot be done.
Thanks.
