Printing from a Mac to a printer without postscript
When I print from my Mac to my Sharp printer I can hear it being received at the printer but it wont print.
I am told the printer doesn't accept postscript from the Mac drivers and I would need an additional part.
I was wondering if there is anyway to pass the Mac print job to a Windows pc to print.
Or if there is any other options besides purchasing the additional part.
I need to print Word and PDf documents.
Thanks

I am not completely sure what Mac OS but it's the latest it's a Sharp 4053 mfp.
We were told by our Sharp rep Our current configuration doesn't support postscript unless we bought an extra module that did
If I do as you say above then there is no postscript involved at all?
Thanks

Sharing a printer from a Windows PC and then printing to it via the share from the MAC won't make it print correctly. Windows doesn't "convert" what it gets from the MAC to make it compatible with the printer.
But OSX doesn't require your printer to be a postscript printer, you can easily print to other printers as long as you have installed the printer's driver on the MAC. Just check the printer manufacturer's site and look for printer drivers that correspond to your OSX version.

As I stated above we tried all the updated print drivers and were told by the Sharp people themselves regarding the postscript compatability..is this BS is that what you are saying?

Enable Printer Sharing on Windows and allow the Mac to search the network for shared printers.
You don't mention the model of Mac and OSX version and model of Samsung printer you're running which may also have a role to play.
