How can I prevent users from deleting files on a windows server share
I recently had an issue where a user accidentally deleted a ton of files on our file share thinking they were files on his local pc.
At the same time this user needs modify permissions since he needs to delete and or rename files periodically.
Is there any practice I can follow in order to ward of users from accidentally deleting files? Or at least those with the modify permission?
For example, a message/dialog that warns them they are about to delete a file on the file server.. your advice is appreciated.
thanks in advance

Well noted with thanks guys.
Can I modify the key so that it states, "you are about to delete file from server"
Rather than just a generic confirmation?
