We are looking at moving our SharePoint to office 365. &nbsp;Some people in the IT department are saying its less secure and msft is suggesting that their security is compliant with Sarbanes, sox, blah blah, and probably at least as secure.<br />

Can someone point me to some easy to digest documents that truly shed light on what situations warrant a hybrid setup versus native office 365.<br />

in my understanding, hybrid means we will have some server components of sharepoint on our local network and some components on the web.<br />
or is it you have to full systems that just communicate with each other

All of Office 365's components can be managed and configured through an online portal; users can be added manually, imported from a CSV file, or Office 365 can be set up for single sign-on with a local Active Directory using Active Directory Federation Services.
