Backup tape stuck in drive
Hello , i got MSL4048 with two drives.
when i take out the drives, there are two tapes that can't be pulled out.
the drives keep on failing, and when i run a test, it says, mechanical error, slider is blocked (this is the reason i took out the drives).
is there anything i can do, other than buying new tapes. is it safe to pull our the tape?

Are the leader pins mislocated? Coulld someone have dropped both tapes?

But I have two drives. And they both showing problem with slider.
How can two drives go bad together. And what is the age of a drive ?
