Health check on dVS
When i enable health check on my dVS. I get the warning as on the screen shot. I know the vlan 3 , 70 and 60 are not enabled on vmnic 7.
Why do i get this warning and how do i clear this?

Thank you for the reply . I know the setting on vDS are correct. The physical switch was configured by our network team! You might help me on this .
Look at the raw for vmnic7 vlan trunk 3,50,60,70 "Not supported"
Does this means that the corresponding physical port on the physical switch is configured for Trunk 3,50,60,70, because of that vDS through the warning?
If we take the unwanted vlan trunk for that vmnic7 then I will not get this warning?

are all your nics, configured for all the VLANs ?
e.g. ALL VLANS are on all trunks
e.g. ALL VLANS are on all trunks

On the vDS I configured as below.
vmnic0 and vmnic 4 for VLAN 3,60, and 70 .
Vminic1 and 6 for VLAN50
vmnic 5 and Vmnic 7 for Port group 1 and 2 (VLAN 10 and 11)
vmnic0 and vmnic 4 for VLAN 3,60, and 70 .
Vminic1 and 6 for VLAN50
vmnic 5 and Vmnic 7 for Port group 1 and 2 (VLAN 10 and 11)
that's why you get the warning!
configure all VLANS on all vmnics, and then it will go away!
or disable it!

Andrew,
How do i configure VLANs on all vmnics?
I went to port group and assign the VLAN(tag).
You mean disable "health check" and do not bother about the warning?

Thank you Andrew. I am going to disable the health check
The warning was bothering me!!
I found this link though it is for 5.1

I have created separate vDS fro these portgroups, vDS fro iscsi and another vDS fro vMotion. I have total of three vDS
Two of my vDS are healthy all the way, but my iscsi gives Teaming and failover warning. saying NOn-IP hash mismatch.
I am using one vmnic active and other vmnic unused b/c separate subnet.
Any idea why i get this warning?

you have a NOn-IP hash mismatch.!

Is it something to do with physical switch ? I am using "route based on originating port id"
Teaming policy selected.
ASKER
Where the teaming policy is selected?

I opened a case with vmware and was told me to disable it.
otherwise fix the issues it's warning you off, e.g. the mismatched VLANs.
VLAN – Checks whether vSphere distributed switch VLAN settings match trunk port configuration on the adjacent physical switch ports.
So Summary, Fix the problem, or disable the health check!
