Need an online movie service

What various choices do I have where I can watch a movie on my PC, from time to time?

I'd like some classics as well as some recent movies.

What options do I have?

I also just purchase DVD's of what I think I might watch again sometime. I have a lot of British Drama on DVD. Once purchased, free to watch forever.

Does NetFlicks let me watch at the movie I want? Do I need to wait for the DVD to arrive?

I just want to pick the movie online and watch it. Even old ones, like 2001 a Space Odyssey, for example.

Does Netflix do this?

You can select what you wish from Netflix. They need to have it in their library, but assuming they do, you can select it.

I highly suggest Plex as well. It provides an easy interface to allow you to access a home based server (just software you need to run on a PC that can access the media files).

Plex has apps for almost every device imaginable to include smart TVs, but they also support every major OS there is.
