QNAP NAS deployment best practice for multimedia file share access
Hi People,
I've just got QNAP TS-471 for my office, so I wonder what's the best way to setup the file share for Windows client so that it can store and present large files to the workstations ?
I have never deployed QNAP NAS before for creating a file share for a medium office.
Note:
I've created 2x RAID 1 LUNs each with the following:
LUN1 - 2x 4TB HDD: VMware VMFS
LUN2 - 2x 4TB HDD: Windows file share - for Multimedia department (video editing)
Any steps or best practice steps would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

So in this case CIFS share is the only way to go for the Windows file share ?
There are 4 Gigabit NICs in the unit, so I can probably dedicate one port for management unit and one port for data trasnfer for this CIFS share.
