I have been tasked to create a capacity management policy, we manage number of server, switches,routers and firewalls.
What is the main focus capacity management policy ? What is its purpose
I'm need to know in the policy what process and procedures need to described in the document
Can someone point me in the direction of a document which can serve as a starting point? What organizations follow in terms of capacity management

You are welcome... and as you work on your policy documents, please feel free to post questions relevant to your company's situation... there is no "one solution fits all" scenario.
The policy for a company with 1000 employees at 5 locations, with 25 servers will differ significantly from the policy for a one office company with 35 employees. But, each has the same end goal... deliver efficient IT services at the lowest cost.
