Installing Exchange 2007 in Exchange 2003 environment
Hi
I am trying to install Exchange 2007 in a domain with Exchange 2003 already installed. I am installing it on a Windows 2012 R2 server. The domain functional level is 2008 R2. Exchange 2003 is installed on Windows 2003 server.
I am trying to run setup /preparelegacyexchangeperm
Cannot find at least one domain controller running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later in domain 'DC=XXX'. This could be the result of moving domain controller objects in Active Directory. Check that at least one domain controller running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later is located in the 'Domain Controllers' organizational unit (OU) and rerun setup.
My domain controller’s are all in the default domain controller OU.

and downloaded SP2 and extracted the two files and replaced them in my installation files but still get the same error.
Any ideas please?

I didn't know it was possible to install SP3 without having Exchange installed first! Will try that now. Once I have Exchange 2007 installed, I will be decommissioning the old Exchange 2003 server and Windows 2003 server.
Once you have Exchange2007 running update to SP3 minimum to make it supported version.

Using the SP3 files I have run the below successfully:
setup /preparelegacyexchangeperm
setup /prepareschema
setup /preparead
setup /preparedomain
Now I am trying to install Exhchange and while installing the Hub Transport Role I get the following error:
Read only MultiValuedProperty does not support this operation.
Does anybody know what I can do to resolve this please?

Installing Exchange 2007 SP3 is not supported on a WIndows 2012 R2 server. Please make sure you are installing on a supported OS.

FYI WIndows2003 and Exchange2003 is EOL(End of life).
After removing Exchange2003 and windows 2003 then make sure it is removed from your network as it is out of support.
Ensure Exchange2007 is SP3 minimum to become a supported Exchange server.
