How to activate Windows 8.1 with MAK licence key

I have one PC which I am setting up for a client. The PC will never be connected to the internet.

They have bought a Open Licence for Windpws 8.1 Pro. I have aquired the MAK licence key via the VLSC.

It is our intention to use this first PC as a gold image machine to create an image for the other PCs

I have then run slmgr.vbs /ipk <MultipleActivationKey> which was applied successfully.

I then rebooted and recived a long message asking me to press F10 to aplly some changes to the TPM:

"a configuration change was requested to enable, activate, and allow creation of an operator authentication value....................."

This seemed to work. When Icheck the Windows activation status it is still showing as not activated.

How do I now active this copy of Windows?

OK great. Obvious really :)

One last question. If I take an image of this system and load the image into another PC will I need to reactivate it again on the new PC?
You will. Of course with a new license key that you need to input.
Sorry, scratch the new key - of course MAK keys can be activated multiple times. MS has a counter on their VL website that shows you how often you activated it.
Great and thanks for the advice. I see the activation counter in the VLSC.
