Best Mobile Internet Utility
We time fitness events (road races, triathlons, etc) and we use a Verizon account to get results online on site. It costs us $100/month for a data only account with three jetpacks and 8 gb of monthly data. My question is this: is there a process that is cheaper in the long run that is as reliable and robust as this one? For one thing, we will soon need two more "stations" for a total of five. I read that purchasing modems and sim cards would be far cheaper after the initial investment but I don't think I understand that process. What does a sim card do that allows internet connectivity from remote sites for a much cheaper amount?

Hmmm....I will have to look into that. We use over half of our 8 GB per month most months. Tried the phone hotspot but it kicks you off if you get a phone call. Any way around that?

We don't have an ISP with our business. That is why we went through Verizon. What is your monthly ISP charge?
