No. &nbsp;I checked and no such luck. &nbsp;It just won't take this one particular static IP. &nbsp;It will take any other static IP or dynamic IP it gets.

The short story is I had to rebuild a virtual server using only the vhd files. &nbsp;When the server came up, I assigned the IP address of the server to the NIC. &nbsp;This is the same IP the virtual server had before the rebuild.<br />

When I assign the static IP, it won't take it. &nbsp;It comes up a 169 IP. &nbsp;It WILL pull an IP from DHCP and work just fine, but it won't take the static IP that I need it to take. &nbsp;We have several hundred iPads looking to that static IP.<br />

The short story is I had to rebuild a virtual server using only the vhd files.  When the server came up, I assigned the IP address of the server to the NIC.  This is the same IP the virtual server had before the rebuild.

When I assign the static IP, it won't take it.  It comes up a 169 IP.  It WILL pull an IP from DHCP and work just fine, but it won't take the static IP that I need it to take.  We have several hundred iPads looking to that static IP.

Anyone seen this where the VNIC won't take the static IP?

VNIC won't take static IP, Hyper-V

Hyper-V is a native hypervisor; it can create virtual machines on x86-64 systems and supersedes Windows Virtual PC as the hardware virtualization component of the client editions of Windows NT.
