Getting Started on web Development for an experienced C++ developer
1> How does a person get started on web development who is already an experienced developer in C++ and building n tier desktop applications for more than a decade?
2> What are the tools, resources and languages that one needs to learn given that new work/project would be a web application, with front end in html/angular, back end in java (spring, hibernate) and DB as postgre/mysql?
3> Given that new work is primarily on open source web application development, and an overwhelming use of technology stack/frameworks (some of them being chrome apps/index db, python, ansible for automation/deployment, vagrant, javascript/angular/react, java/spring/swing, puppet, tomcat, etc...) being already used to build the existing application thus far.
Please share some insights.

Excellent comments from everyone, thanks @Slick812, @zephyr_hex, @gr8gonzo.
Thanks to @gheist as well for explaining in brief what is angular.
Now I have a fair idea how to get started.

Java (syntax & OO idea) is very much like C++, only thing that STD library equivalent comes in 50MB zip file with implementations reimplementations and official apis and deprecated apis all in one...
