Powerpoint Versions
Hello,
We have had trouble pasting from one PPT to another. Some users have the latest rev of Office which defaults to “wide screen” 16:9 HD video ratio while most of our PCs, monitors, laptops, and copier/printers default to 4:3 standard TV ratio. Using “destination format” in paste squeezes the wide into the standard, distorting text, wrong place for graph labels, etc. If you use “source formatting”, it keeps the same aspect ratio but instead leaves blank white space top/bottom. Just like the black bars top/bottom when you view HD movie on a standard monitor. Office does not seem to auto detect formats seamlessly between versions or devices.
Is there a setting somewhere that auto detects or fixes this when different screen sizes and printers are used? Or are we forced to change default settings for Office 360 to 4:3, defeating purpose of 16.9 HD screens we are buying? Either way, paper size is not going to change, 11x8.5 is approx. 4:3.
Thank you
