asked on

general VMware question

here is our situation, like many companies we have many deployments of ESXi spread over the company [many singe node ESXi servers at smaller offices]

we are looking for an idea as to how to organize access to all ESXi servers  [for example a central web page / portal that our admins can go to]

any ideas would be appreciated or examples.  thx much

yes, I guess I should clarify the question more, its not really the centralized management, but we need a central place to go to find connection info / VM's hosted on each ESXi  / login URL's etc

we have over 50 deployments spread globally..  if  you see what I mean  :)

Do you have vCenter Server?
yes .. we are running 6.0 U2 [vcenter]
What is vCenter not giving you in this case.  It still seems to be what you are looking for.

Login URLs may be the other exclusion, you could add a note, or use a spreadsheet/lastpass

You can also see if their vcenter alternatives (googling found me a few results) to see if they better suit your needs (such as maybe opennebula.org)
thx for the help
