Azure Websites . Net

I have a site I am working on and am trying to Compare Azurewebsites.net to other Enterprise solutions (Bluehost, Nexcess) and I am trying to find out the actual hardware Azure is using... the type of server but I am unable to find out this info from customer service.  Is there a resource that lists this info?  I was looking at a hosting solution but my client said they did not want to use that hosting cause they were using old equipment... http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/poweredge-r410/pd

Azure offers various different hardware's depending on your needs and what you pay for. Microsoft uses a variety of hardware, what matters is not the age or the type but the specs of said hardware. which varies depending on which type of machine you configure when setting up your azure website. This can range anywhere from a shared 1gb storage single core shared ram machine to multiple quad core 7gb ram machines with staging slots, redundant 250gb base backup, iterated backups with 20 instances of the same website load balanced. you can see The Azure portal for more information, or pricing index on their site. If you are really curious about the physical hardware running behind the scenes you can take a look at the hardware and if you just happen to be curious how the datacenters are layed out you can take a closer look with a tour. Microsoft Runs their Hyper-V solution on top of their servers to manage everything, the physical hardware isn't quite so important- the implementation, availability, scalability, and cost are your main factors when looking at cloud solutions.

How does Azure Compare to Nexcess? https://www.nexcess.net/hosting/enterprise-hosting

I don't think your customer knows what they are talking about.  In addition, hosting companies upgrade their hardware frequently so you don't know what's going to be installed when you get around to signing up with them.
