Include Adobe AIR libraries in Flash Builder

I am new to Adobe Flash Builder 4.7.
I am wondering when I create a Flex Library project, what is the advantage and disadvantage in checking the box "Include Adobe AIR libraries"?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Ticking this option will give your library access to the AIR API functions; airglobal.swc and airframework.swc will then be included in the library project.  If you don't tick the box, you cannot use the AIR APIs.  So if you think you will need AIR APIs, tick the box.

Thank you mrwad99 for taking the time to answer.

When the AIR API is selected will it replace the Flash API or will be an addition to it?
It seems that the AIR APIs are an optional *add in*, so ticking this wouldn't affect the Flash API being included.
