DHCP and Internet Access Issue Cisco 4331 Router
We are upgrading from a 2821 Router to a 4331 router and the commands are a little cryptic to me. Basically we have three vlans that need to have dhcp requests to the switches when individual devices on each vlan request an ip address. Also, we are unable to see the internet with the connection being broadband on 0/0/0 and setup for dhcp and the show int g0/0/0 does show an ip address being assigned by broadband but unable to access the web or even ping 8.8.8.8. Any help will be appreciated and I have included the config.

I cannot ping 8.8.8.8 from the router and have not tried turning the firewall off (we need to use the firewall on the unit).
I understand, but turning the firewall off is merely a troubleshooting step in order to determine where the problem may lie.
If you turn the firewall off and you can ping from the router, it's likely a firewall issue. The rest of the config looks ok to me, at a glance.

How do you turn off the firewall on the 4331?
ASKER
Turned off ZBF and reset and now it works except for some reason the cisco router is not sending the proper dhcp pool to the right vlan.
That may be down to a tagging issue at the switch. Can you post the switch config and tell us which port(s) the router connects to?
ASKER
It is a netgear switch S3300 and the router is connected to port 1 and it is set to untagged for all ports with pvid of 1. Thank you

Ok, the netgear support people had said to keep it untagged. I will make changes and see what happens. Thank you
Have you tried turning the router's firewall off?
