Laptop battery gauge icons
Refer to the attached 2 screens:
a) initially the big icon on the left shows much more battery power left compared
to the small icon on the right & it prompted me whether I wish to reset the
battery gauge which I clicked
b) then the 2nd attached screen surfaced
How can I make the icons work as what it used to be (previously both icons show
the same amount of power left) & the right icon doesn't show the 2 arrows. The
right icon has been showing as such for the last 3 hours

Is it ThinkPad X61 or X201?
Are you using 3rd party battery?
Are you running Win xp?
It seems to me that there is a conflict between the Thinkpad power management and the Windows power management.
The solution is to remove thinkpad power management utility.
