Remove the disk you don't want to install the OS to, and then try again.
it shows drive 0 and drive 3
how many drives does this system have?
is the drive set for ahci in the bios?
did you try clean with diskpart and nothing else?  should appear empty in windows and setup will partition it as needed

i actually removed all the disks only one drive is in there now
And have you tried the installation already again?

yes i got the same error. will try John recommendation now
Try deleting the partition you created on that disk, then try the installation. I'd also attach the disk to the SATA port you freed up by removing the other disk.

could not boot with Secure Boot enabled. same issue with UEFI
You may need to try a new blank hard drive or delete all the partitions on the one you have.

i tried to delete the partition also. here is my latest errorUser generated image
Where has the OEM partition come from?

What OS are you trying to install?

if i PXE boot to MDT the OS installs but fails so i have a perfect WDS image

when i PXE boot i get this error. if i delete the partition i get the same error also.
hope that makes sense

also i'm trying to install Windows 10 Ent
Can you install without PXE booting, from a USB stick or a DVD? I have no PXE experience. I'd also suggest to first try it using a vanilla Windows 10 Ent iso. Maybe there's an issue with your modified image.
Have you got the ISO for that? You need a paid license for Enterprise. Are you trying to install something different (that you may not be aware of)?

i tried using the DVD - same error. @ John - yes we do have licenses, as far as i'm aware i'm only trying to install any OS on the HD.

How much RAM do you have in the system?  I've seen weird errors like this when I try to install into VMs with too little RAM.

16GB RAM

@ LEE W - got error when converting (specified disk is not convertable, CDRoms and DVD are examples of not convertable disks)
If you have removed Secure Boot and EUFI and deleted all partitions, it may be time to try a new disk.

The X1 comes with a minimum of 4 GB of memory so that should be OK.

ok i think igot it working :)

LEE W solution worked (i missed a couple of steps before)

select disk 0
clean
convert gpt
rebooted and installed Win 8
If Windows 8 is activated, then make an ISO of Windows 10 Enterprise and run that to install Windows 10. You cannot use the Media Creation Link for Enterprise so far as I know.
