excel formula for match and populate a cell
I have a xlsx with 2 sheets. In column E of sheet 1 I have created a blank column called "user name". What I need is a formula whereby it checks the value in column D in sheet 1, to see if there is a value the same anywhere in sheet 2 column A, and if there is, populate sheet 2 column E with the value of sheet 2 column B (the same row)..
So if sheet 1 cell D2 was "abAdmin", and somewhere within column A in sheet 2 was admin, e.g. cell A52, then populate column E of sheet 1 with the value of B on the same row as the match. There will only be one possible match per sheet as each user is unique.
