Hybrid Email solution with Google Apps
Dear Experts,
We are using google apps business for our email service and our users are growing fast. Since not everyone needs to be on Google we are thinking of a hybrid environment where important email accounts should be on google apps and other email accounts on our legacy postfix dovecot mail server. Is this scenario possible with Google apps? I understand that this is possible with Office365
Waiting for expert suggestion
Thanks in advance
Regards.

It's possible with Office 365 due to the targetAddress attribute in AD forwarding mail either to the on-prem mailbox or the one in Exchange Online depending on where the MX record is pointing.

Google has a calendar free/busy sync tool for exchange.
yes, however, that only assume your user only exist in one place.
if exists in both place, free/busy don't work (because it get a valid but empty response from the local user)

Thank you Jason, Allen and Jian for your inputs. Apologies for the delayed reply.
Jason, I do agree Office 365 has this specific option, we are now on google apps and are comfortable using it, but we will explore migrating.
Thank you Jian for the suggestion I will go through and revert back.
Allen, I have gone through the link earlier and I got the impression that it is only for temporary usage for assistance in migrating our legacy to Google apps.
I will try this within the next few days and revert you all
Appreciate your support
