Andriod S7 Phone - trying to use a cert to authenticate with Wireless

we have a Radius server that authenticate with our AD network, to authenticate we use a certificate which i'm trying to get working on my android.

it imports successfully but when i try to join the wireless network and select the cert i get this error below:

CA Certificate not selected
if you do not select a CA certificate, the server certificate will not be verified.Tap OK to connect anyway.

i am also using a Iphone 6 and it works fine after importing the cert and connecting to the network.

So what's the actual issue?  Does the Android device connect?

no it does not i'm stuck at this message

CA Certificate not selected

if i tap to connect it fails and asks for for "identity" - don't know what to enter here
You need to import the CA cert when you import the device cert. Android won't like it any other way.
