Configuring access port between two switches
Just curious, instead of configuring a trunk link between two switches, can you configure it as an access port? What are issues, and reasons why this would be done?

So, in order for it to work you can only use one VLAN. Is if I were to use VLAN 953 + Native VLAN 1, I would have to change the native VLAN to 953?
And can this be done on the uplink ports, or access ports only?

If you need more than one VLAN carried between switches, you either need a trunk link or an access link for every VLAN.
With a trunk link, the native VLAN can be any VLAN you want (as long as it's the same at both ends of the link.
What make/model switch are we talking about here? On most enterprise class switches, there really aren't "uplink" ports. Any port can be used to connect to another switch.

The downstream switch will only get traffic on the native VLAN on the uplink switch's port, though.
