Turn on display when getting a skype call
My power settings turn off the display after 15 minutes of idle. When a new call comes in it by the time I get to the pc (win7), move the mouse and the monitor comes back the call is lost. Is there a way to have skype wake the monitor automatically as soon as a new call comes in? Microsoft/skype was no help with this in blog or chat.
I have gone through the power management features of windows 7 and there is no such feature you want.
If you are using a wired connection, go to the power management tab of the network chip in the device manager and check the box to allow it to wake the PC.
If you are using wireless, your only option is to disable sleep.
You might also want to clear the "require password when the computer wakes" in power management so it turns on without making you login again.

It is not possible to wake up just by wake on LAN from network traffic just related to Skype...all kind of network traffic will wake up the computer...
Besides, it is to turn on display, not resume from sleep::.

It seems there's currently no way to accomplish this but the hotkeys was the best solution. Never thought of this. Good workaround!
