used both the Apple Music and Spotify apps running on an iPad Air 2, connected over Wi-Fi to an Apple TV box (which, in turn, was using a wired Ethernet connection to our router). In both cases, music was streamed from the iPad to the Apple TV using Apple's AirPlay wireless protocol.
Spotify vs. Apple Music: Is there a difference in sound quality?
The streaming-music wars are on, with Apple Music and Spotify now locked in a battle on price, features and artist selection. But how do they compare on sound quality? We put them head-to-head to find out.

So if you could route the Iphone through to a PC using Airplay connect that PC's audio out jacks to the stereo system
iPhone
Connect your iPhone to the same WiFi as your AirPlay device (AirPort Express, Apple TV etc).
Open Spotify and log in.
Play a track.
Tap the Now Playing bar at the bottom to bring up the now playing page.
Tap on the AirPlay icon under the play/pause controls.
Select the output device.

Jackie Mann: this is horrible news! surely I'm not the only person who's noticed sonic deficiencies in Pandora.
You need to contact Pandora to suggest to add equalizer feature in their app.

On my Mac I used SoundFlower to intercept the sound and I was able to do what I wanted with sound being output from any program. I do not have an iOS device to try this out, but audiobus seems to do what Soundflower does. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/audiobus/id558513570?mt=8
Your only option is to use Pandora at a fixed location and take Merete's approach to connect your iPhone to a HiFi system.
