HP Smart Array B110i

I have a Proliant DL120 G7 that had 4 1gb drives. One of the drives went bad so instead of replacing it with another 1gb drive we decided to upgrade all four with 4 4tb drives. After adding the drive, I discovered that the HP Smart Array B110i does not recognize the drives. I was wondering if anyone can direct me to the pre-os firmware update for the HP Smart Array B110i. Every update that I have found on HP's site is post-os install. Since the raid card can't see me drives I can't install the OS.

Thanks

Can you suggest a Smart Array card that will support 2TB or greater.
The B110i is integrated in to the motherboard isn't it? I have been looking for the pre-os firmware upgrade and have yet to find it. When you found the post-os firmware did it say anything about fixing that issue?

My thought would be that the B110i firmware might be part of the BIOS firmware. I just think it is really on that they wouldn't support > 2TB. To be honest the only HP Server I ever tried was a ML110 and I just put an Adaptec card in it from the start. Let me do a little more searching.
Here is a thread from the HP Community:

Re: B110i firmware
The SmartArray B110i does not have firmware as such: it is simply a plain AHCI SATA controller at the hardware level.

All the RAID functionality is provided by the system BIOS (for booting, and for DOS-based boot disks/network boot images) and the B110i driver in the OS (when a 32/64-bit OS is running).

Where did you find the post-os firmware?
I found it on hpe.com. I wonder HP makes it so difficult to find any information.
Oh me too. That is where i found those two statements. I don't know why everyone love's HP servers. I really don't. That is why I have only tried one :) Too hard to support and not enough readily available information. Maybe they need Fiona back?
I agree, I like Dell's much better. Like you, I have one HP in my environment. Easier to find what you need without getting on the phone. I don't Fiona can help, it's to far gone. Thank for your comments
