Multiple Columns in Crystal Report 2008

Hello Experts,

I have an issue in Crystal Report 2008, where I cannot show the data in multiple columns on detail section. For e.g. in the detail section I need the data like this format:

1     4
2     5
3     6

But I get the data in one single column instead of multiple columns. I tried all what explain in below link, still no able to get the format needed.
http://www.bofocus.com/formatting-the-detail-section-to-display-multiple-columns/

Thanks,

Crystal has to fill the first column before it starts the second column.

If you don't have enough data to fill the column on the page then the second column won't be used.

You can set the columns to go across then down.

Is that the extent of the data being shown?
If so there may be ways to get it done like that using arrays and formulas.

Hello mlmcc,

Since, I'm having issue not showing data in multiple columns, currently my report has few hundreds of rows and showing it in 20+ pages . I already, selected option, "Down then Across". Anything else I need to do.

Thanks,

It's working for me after reducing the width(detail size).
