Outlook 2010 delegate can only see some calendar entries in outlook client but all in OWA.

Hello,

I have an environment running Exchange 2010 on Windows Server 2003 and Outlook 2010 running on Win 7 Pro x64. I have a user who is a delegate for another user and up until yesterday was able to view all calendar entries on their calendar. She can now only see a few seemingly random entries in the Outlook client. When we log her into OWA she can see them all. I've tried backing the entire setup out and setting it up again, but still have the same problem. I've tried taking her out of cached exchange mode, unchecking "download shared folders", and recreated her outlook and windows profile completely ...but same issue. I had her log onto two other PC's she has never logged into before, and with the Outlook client she could still only see the same random entries, not all of the calendar items. If I give myself delegate access to the same user, I'm able to see all calendar entries using the Outlook client. I'm a bit perplexed by this one and at this point am not too sure what to try to get her back up and running. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

For Outlook 2007/2010 you can try this: (worked for me)

  • Close Outlook if it is open.
  • Start Outlook from the command line with the /resettodobar switch as described here.
  • Close Outlook.
  • Start Outlook normally again.
  • Go to View/To-Do Bar/Options to reconfigure your to-do bar (how many months and/or how many appointments to display.

I cannot believe this was it! Thank you SO much! I ws so convinced it was something server-side, which I guess it kind of was since apparently Outlook stores this setting server-side and it follows you to any Outlook client you log into. Just to clarify to others, the fix was to click the little arrow under the "Month" calendar view and change the filtering from "low" to "high". After that all calendar entries showed. I had no idea this setting even existed. Thanks again!
