Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2016 - Tool for Migrating mailboxes
Hi Guys,
We are soon to upgrade SBS server 2011 with Exchange 2010 to Windows server 2012 running Exchange 2016.
I understand that we can do migration mode install, but as the server has lot of bugs and in a dirty state, mismanaged by various system
admins over the years, we want to instead just setup the new server with exchange 2016 from scratch as its only a small organisation of 20 users.
My question is this - Is there a tool, which we can use (free or cheap enough) to migrate 20 mailboxes from old exchange to new exchange server cross-domain? Note - There are no public folders/shared mailboxes or shared calendars.

@king2002 - Exporting and importing psts - That sounds like a plan. Pls share the scripts, would be great

- on each user open outlook export to PST and import in the new server with either outlook or exchange commands
- Export on old servers mailboxes to pst and import on new with either outlook or exchange shell.

Then export the 20 mailboxes to pat files then create a new 20 mailboxes in exchange 2016 and import the pst files
if you dont want to do any efforts there is scripts to do the export ,create mailboxes, import
I will share it with you within couple of hours
