NTFS Permissions for UserData folder (home folders)
I have a synology device hosting my home folders for my users. I also have a girl who creates users for me. She can create the users in AD, but when she plugs in the path for the home folder, she gets a perms denied.
the top level home folder is named USERDATA. Under that, AD creates a child folder using the \\serverpath\userdata\%use rname% and that's where she gets the error.
What permissions do I need to apply to the top level folder USERDATA so that she can create the user's home folder?
Thanks
Cliff

Is the Synology device formatted NTFS? They usually come as some other format. If you are trying to extend the user folder to that device, then it needs to be NTFS to support it.
