Hyper-V VM, with a static IP and a private IP conflict
I have a new Hyper-V host with a single NIC. I have created a VM and assigned a static IP address. When I run an ipconfig command I see that I have an APIPA address, ipconfig /all shows both the APIPA and the static IP.
I can't get an internet connection as it seems the APIPA address is being given preference. In the NIC setting there is no configuration that would allow the APIPA to be issued.
If anyone has seen this before please let me know.
Thanks

Have you configured an Hyper-V switch in the Virtual Switch Manager?

Yes, I have a virtual switch created as you have shown. But for some reason the VM is geting both the static IP I have assigned and an APIPA IP address from somewhere.
What does "netsh interface ip show config" output?
Does your VM has more then one interface?
btw, you can try to disable APIPA on your VM via the registry:
Set IPAutoconfigurationEnabled in KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\C urrentCont rolSet\Ser vices\Tcpi p\Paramete rs to 0.
