Have configured ddns server in ubuntu 12.4 with subnet of 192.168.1.0/24 network, now we have extended the network with new subnet in next building and have configured one more ubuntu server to serve as dns and dhcp for this subnet, can you please suggest the best network design as the new subnet has to access many servers which is located in old building subnet 192.168.1.0/24 , these both are connected to each other network through the firewall and router device fortinet 300c .<br />
1. I would like to connect or resolve &nbsp;of all network servers from &nbsp;192.168.2.0/24 network &nbsp;to 192.168.1.0/24 network &nbsp;please suggest is dns slave recommended in 192.168.2.0/24 , I would like the resolve to happen between these two subnets.<br />
2. if slave is configured is it required to configure slave zone files manually or slave configuration will fetch zones files from master , should we have create any directory or zone file names. <br />
3. in the master and slave dns &nbsp;concept , where the A record to be added is it always in master server and where the reverse zone to be configured as the slave side &nbsp;is of different subnet. <br />
