Quickbooks logon very slow with network firewall set to on
Hi Experts,
I have had this the last 4 years or possibly more and I have been able to resolve with and without Quickbooks (now Reckon) support...
With the firewall on logon times are around a minute... with the firewall off under 10 seconds!!
In most cases it has been the firewall ports not quite correct or last year it was due to QBUser24 not given permission on the database folder of Quickbooks has anyone struck this for 2016 version QBUser25 which is for (2016 version).
QB Version Accounts 2016 (same for both clients)
Server 2008R2 the other client Server2012
As I spent 2 hours on the phone with support but got no where and they are out of ideas any input would be greatly appreciated as I have two clients I need to resolve for thanks in advance...

Great advice thanks Bill! I saw they had wireshark installed on the server but wasn't sure if that would help as I am not good on reading wireshark.
Hopefully going back on Friday I will attempt that and let you know how it goes.

Worst case, just grab the trace data while you are there. You can always analyze it on your own.
What machine is hosting the data file?
What O/S is on the client?
Are there any other instances of the QuickBooks database service running on the network?
Which PC are you turning the firewall off on?
