outlook merging calendars

I have outlook 2010 set-up with 2 exchange mailboxes mounted. I am receiving calendar invites to both, which is making it difficult to manage my day (ticking one, then the other). is there an easy way to merge the 2 calendars in outlook so I can see meetings/appointments for both at the same time.

this would also be beneficial for colleagues if the calendar was "merged", as they'd only have to open 1 to see what meetings were on. instead the have 2 check 2 calendars.

Hello,
You can overlay two or more calendars by right-clicking on the calendar folder and choosing Overlay. You can also click the small arrow in the calendar name tab to overlay or separate.
But, If you have meetings on the second calendar, you need to use Move to folder( not Copy) in order for updates to work correctly.
To merge into one calender follow the steps:
  • Choose List view from the Change View menu on the View ribbon.
  • Select all by using Ctrl +A.
  • Now you can either drag the content to other Calender or use the Move option on Home ribbon
  • Choose Move to Other folder and select the other Calender folder where you want to move your appointments. Click Ok.
  • Now change the view to calender view and you can see all the appointments in other calender.

Hope this will be helpful.

Thanks & Regards,
Clark Kent

From what I can tell though the overlay is only of benefit to the user themselves, i.e. rather than have to view 2 mailboxes calendars. But in terms of collegues, when they look at the calendar to see if a meeting room is required, they still need to open 2 calendars. is there a way to make my overlay of 2 calendars the way my calendars appear to other users when checking my calendar?
