Gestetner DSm627sp printer/ scanner. Scanner error sending data has failed
Hello I am reconfiguring a Gestetner DSm627sp printer/ scanner can print to it with no problem now setting up the scanner to b able to scan to a folder on the networw, setup a destination in the address book setup the user name/ password and the path, tested the connection and got the connection to the pc has succeeded so now I come out of the control panel and tr to scan a document to that address book location and get Sending the data has failed to confirm result, check (Scanned Files Status) I go in the scanned files status , and it gives me status Error..... Any suggestions
Check the permissions on the scan folders, and make sure the scanner has write permission to it.
And, please try using some punctuation to make it easier to decipher your messages. It's also good to start a new paragraph sometimes - that helps to separate parts of a complex message, as do initial caps in a sentence.

The scan folder has full permissions for the user account that I am using on the scanner, also when I am setting up the account in the address book on the scanner it had a test connection option and that connects with (connection to pc succeeded) I beleive it something I am not doing on the scanner end becuase they have another large printer/scanner in the office that I setup to scan to that same folder without any problems
The connection test would not test writing to the folder, it would only check that the folder is available. Try giving the scan folder Full permissions for Everybody.

I did that on both computers I gave the user and everyone full permissions. The lanier printer/ scanner scans to both systems, scan folders with no problems
If the Lanier works, but the Gestetner doesn't, then there must be something about the Gestetner that I don't know. Hope someone else does.

@hdhondt Thanks for you help. I do agree it must be something I am not doing properly while setting up the Gestetner but I have read the manual a few times while setting up the address book, and this is not my first time setting up a scanner to scan to local network folder I am just leaving out something in the setup.
