Microsoft Paint

I am working with a .png file in Paint (that is the only tool I have access too for editing images).   The image has a lot of white space on top, I am trying to select the area that has the image and copy / paste to a new image, so I can remove the white space,  The challenge I am having is the image goes beyond the viewing range and when I try to select with the mouse it isn't working correctly. If I try to resize to 10% then I can select and resize it, but then the image becomes blurry from resizing it.   Any ideas on how I can get around this?  I would upload the file but it contains information that restricts me from doing so.  Thanks for any assistance.

Try this (I just did). Use the Select Tool to pick out what you want. Then select Crop (beside the select tool) and that will yield the selection you want.

Thanks for replying. I think its hard to understand my challenge when I can't upload the image. I can't select the entire image as it is outside the viewing area (height and width), I have to hold the mouse and scroll and when I do this it is not working correctly.

thanks for the updates, still trying to get this to work.    When I try the print screen method and save it back to paint, and then crop and save again to word / .pdf the image is very blurry.
When I do 30% it is easier to manage than 50% but still can't select the area I need to so I can remove the white space at the top.
Can you take it to a computer with a much bigger screen?
success !  It looks like 20% was the magic number.  Also instead of resizing it in paint, I just resized it in PowerPoint after pasting it and then saving as .PDF.   Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.
Just throwing it in here. If unable to obtain other tools for editing photo's, perhaps you could try editing it online in PicMonkey? Gives you a bit more to work with.

In addition if you are on Windows 7 or higher, you can use the free built in Snipping tool to select what you wish to copy/save.
I don't work with this very often so sometimes I forget what I did in the past to get it work,
You are very welcome and I was happy to help.
