SCCM cant add driver package
Hi All,
Using SCCM 2012, trying to add driver package for HP EliteBook 840 G3, whenever i tried to add the driver package, it shows the error attached, "The specified file is not valid" no matter where i put the zip files for the drivers, it doesn't want to proceed.
Permissions are right, so not sure what i am missing?
thanks.

I have followed this article...
https://www.ronnipedersen.com/2012/03/importing-drivers-for-osd-in-configmgr-2012/
But the image is not able to start, as soon it tries to start, it looks for network driver, then it thinks and i guess its not able to find it, so it restarts the computer.

Hi,
Are you now able to import the drivers you have supplied, successfully?
If so, then please mark the answer and create a new question, explaining exactly what you're trying to do.
thanks,
Mike

if the drivers were installed and advertised correctly, i wouldn't had network driver issue, which it looks for first....
Yes, I know that. Your original question was "I can't add a driver" though, so I'm asking is that now fixed? If you still can't import the driver then you're still going to be stuck, and yes, your deployment still won't work.
Please confirm if you can indeed import drivers into the driver library. Then people can address the next issue of the driver being available during the deployment.
The reason I suggested splitting is that it read like you now have got the driver imported and have hit a second issue and started asked for help on that too.

Was able to find a link which gave directions on how to import drivers.
Leo was just clicking in the wrong node within the GUI.
You cannot import zip files. You have to extract them first. Also the contents have to be signed, although you can untick the import wizard to reveal unsigned drivers.
Also a mini tip, create folders under you driver library and when you import drivers for a specific machine, move them into the associate folder.
There are no permissions to worry about.
