If rename the active directory domain name, do i need to make any changes to the ESX servers and SAN.

Hi

Our AD domain name is domain.local and our new doamin will be called as RMAP.local. We are going to rename our domain and Instead of changing the active directory domain itself we are planning to change the user principal name .
We use VMware Appliance) and I am not sure if there will be a problem in regards to the ESX servers and the SAN when the domain name is changed. Do we need to make any changes to these servers . As per the snapshot the all 3 esx sercvers ends with domain.local. So do they need be be renamed as RMAP.local after changing the AD domain.

Plaese suggest , any help would be great.

Thanks

Hi

Please see the snapshot,  and under Directory Services Configuration it says:
Directory Services  Type        -        Local authentication

So not sure how to add the new domain name RMAP.local  to the ESX host servers.
