WSUS No Mass Storage / No Network
Hello Experts we are now responsible to maintain a couple of machines that will never connect to any network, & have USB storage devices disabled. We use WSUS Offline updater to load updates. The size of the folder was obviously too large to fit on a single DVD, so I used Roxio Creator Starter 12.1 which spanned it across three DVD's. However it did not complete as it did not know to look for the second "Client" folder. So I inserted the second DVD but in this client folder there is no "Update Installer" option. So my question is what's the best method to ensure we can keep these machines up-to-date?
Why use DVD's? Go for a USB stick and just put the WSUS Ofline tool on that, then run it so it fetches your updates, and then connect it to the client and run the client tool.

Consider replacing the DVD drives with BLU Ray readers in the secure machines.
Single Layer Capacity = 25 gig
Dual Layer Capacity = 50 gig
Use a BLU Ray writer such as this in your machine to prepare the update disks

You could determine which updates were available for the machine from the windows update catalog and then you could download the ones you need and put them on a dvd, much smaller than the entire offline update catalog on 3 dvd's.
Turn the USB's on long enough to install the updates a USB device.
Use an external hard drive that can be connected to the computer via an Ethernet cable to do the update, since its not connected to any network.
