Formula to Randomize Data Set for Time Series Visual
Hello -
Im attempting to use the attached data to show how millennial and GenX generations wealth will grow while the silent and baby boomer generations wealth will shrink from 2015 - 2030. The attached data does not provide information between these two years so Im searching for some method that will take the percentage difference in the share of wealth (as listed) and randomly increase or decrease these totals for the next 15 years monthly. So in the end I would have a data set starting in January 2015 with the data provided and go month to month increasing or decreasing the totals to arrive at December 2030 with the end totals provided. Im not sure if there is a recommended method of going about this and would like to tap into any expertise on the best way to accomplish this task.
Thanks!
